Unknown US Jacket ID USN Deck Jacket

Hi guys,

 

Does anyone know what type of US jacket this is? The tag is unreadable but with a stock number of : 8415-06-753-5612.

 

I have never seen one of these with the single breast pocket. I guessing Korean War era?

I wonder if it's a "shooting" jacket. The lack of an upper pocket on the right side would seem to suggest that (pocket could get in the way of putting the rifle into the pocket of the shoulder.)

Yes, Vietnam/fCold War Era USN deck jacket

US Navy Foul Weather (Deck) Jacket. Late 1950s, early 1960s ( have home movies of my dad wearing these in 1963), wore them into late 1990s, when they were replaced by similar style (Velcro instead on buttons), and in blue,late 1990s, but continued in service after I retired in 1999.
