McDermut99 Posted March 16, 2018 Share #1 Posted March 16, 2018 I went to a local gun show intending to buy a certain type of rifle but when I didn’t find any I perused the tables again and found this WWII Navy Mk 2 Ka-Bar set hiding among some civilian blades. The blade has seen some use but both the knife and the sheath are in great shape. Hopefully the first of many!

thorin6 Posted March 16, 2018 Share #3 Posted March 16, 2018 It's a good start. Now, before you get carried away, figure out how you will store approximately 50-60 knives.

usmce4 Posted March 17, 2018 Share #9 Posted March 17, 2018 I know the fun of the first one - enjoy it. Then apply for a raise on your credit card limit - that's step 2 in MK2 collecting I've found. Art

Looking at the way Mk 2's are going for right now I think I'll stick with one for now!

The thick pommel peened version..I have 2 of these guard marked USN KA-Bar MK2s.and they are slightly later thin pinned pommel..BUT have the same NORD - 8114 sheath..I was wondering if both versions used the 8114 contract one.
