This is for an officer....William John was a PFC...so not your 101st soldier.

 

There are 10 William J. Lange in the NARA

William John Lange (01175482) was promoted to Major General in the Army National Guard. I believe he commanded the 49th Infantry Division from 1961-1964.

hmmmmm.....yes, I know its an officer....so the 'W.J. LANGE' with the 101st was of PFC rank, eh?. so where (doinworkinvans) was this 907th GFA roster/rank listing found? yes, i know there are 10+ WJ LANGE on the NARA enlistment extract.....all enlisted SNs....which does/did not help me.....yea, unfortunately a rather common name.
