7th CAV Little Bighorn Reunion Badge Help

I recently acquired an image with an identified Civil War/ Indian War soldier.

The soldier is wearing Corps badges related to the two units he served with and a GAR medal. In addition he is wearing what looks like some sort of Indian War Reunion or service medal.

The medal has "M" and "7" along with crossed sabers and a horshoe on it. The soldier did serve with that unit during Little Bighorn. I have done many online searches and haven't been able to find the medal.

Any thoughts or suggestions on the medal would be appreciated.

Attached are blow up photos-- sorry about the quality.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Thought this would be a quick one! I guess the medal is an unusual one.

Any ideas at all on the 7th CAV medal? Suggestions on where to look or who to talk with?

Thanks again.

I think I saw the center part of one, removed from the ribbon at the Las Vegas antique arms show a few years back. It had nice detail, and was hinged in a few places so it hung correctly.

Thanks Leatherneck. Any memory of what it was identified as?

Mine comes from a photograph of a 7th Cavalry veteran and the photograph dates from about 1903- 1910.
