abqpropguy Posted March 8, 2018 Share #1 Posted March 8, 2018 I got this photo of a Brigadier General and I am trying to figure out who he is. There is writing on the back.....but so hard to read. It seems like the last name is Whitney.....but can’t find that last name in 1890’s-1900 ranks. Here is a few names and photos that kinda looks like the General in my photo: William Wherry http://ozarkscivilwar.org/photographs/wherry-william-m/'> http://ozarkscivilwar.org/photographs/wherry-william-m/ Maybe Joseph Wheeler? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_Wheeler Maybe with some luck someone can identify him?
