Camo Painted and Nets on Helmets

Today’s photo find! 3 soldiers wearing helmets with camo paint - two with nets!

 

WWII? Korea.....or Vietnam?

 

I would love to have one of those helmets in my collection!!!

Look at the shovel. I am going with WW2 Pacific theater. Your photo has great content, not staged. I know Korea could be a contender, but not Vietnam.

I have looked this photo over a few times and never even saw the shovel.....took a few more times after you guys mentioned it!!!

I would say Battle of Eniwetok I believe - 7th Infantry Division. Here is a link from this forum

If you do a quick Google search on Eniwetok/Kwajalein WWII battles some other photos come up with the same helmet schemes.

The first man with back to camera looks to be cradling a Garand in his lap.You can see a bayonet attached and also hes wearing a cartridge belt.

 

I thought the helmet nets were Japanese also.
