Bob Hudson Posted March 3, 2018 Share #1 Posted March 3, 2018 Picked up a couple of studio photos of WWII African American soldiers. One is an officer with wings, posing with what I assume is his mother. There is no writing on the photo or mount, but there is the name of a photo studio in Coffeyville, Kansas. It turns out that Tuskegee Airman Othel Dickson was from Coffeyville, although some accounts online list him as being from California. I found this online from the Coffeyville high school: Dickson died during a training flight while serving with the 332nd Fighter Group at Ramitelli, Italy. Here's one account found online.
