Lancer-86 Posted March 3, 2018 Share #1 Posted March 3, 2018 I have a copy of Grunt Gear: USMC Combat Infantry Equipment of World War II by Tulkoff. Its been collecting dust on my shelf as Im mainly focusing elsewhere these days. Any idea of the value of this book? Is it still desirable? I cant find any online to compare. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Blacksmith Posted March 3, 2018 Share #3 Posted March 3, 2018 Great book, highly sought after. I wouldn't sell it for less than $100. It is THE reference for WWII USMC gear.
RustyCanteen Posted March 3, 2018 Share #4 Posted March 3, 2018 Right now the cheapest I see on Amazon is $350 listed as a first edition, used condition. I couldn't find any recent eBay sales to check. I have no idea what the selling price is, but the asking prices are greater than $100 by a longshot it seems. Blacksmith Posted March 3, 2018 Share #5 Posted March 3, 2018 You can ask anything you want for something - books are no different. If you check eBay completed auctions, actual selling prices are around $100. Right now the cheapest I see on Amazon is $350 listed as a first edition, used condition. I couldn't find any recent eBay sales to check. I have no idea what the selling price is, but the asking prices are greater than $100 by a longshot it seems. M422A1 Posted March 3, 2018 Share #6 Posted March 3, 2018 I bought one at a military show last year. I can't say exactly what I paid for it because I was "bundling". He was asking $185 for it. I stacked up 6-8 reference books and a couple of magazines and he sold me the whole stack for $210. So I guess I got it for $100+/-... Bundling is your friend! And the book is worth every penny of whatever it cost me!
