Opinion on two WWII Flight Nurse Wings

Hello,

This is my first post so I hope I have put this in the right place. I've been collecting for a number of years, but I'm fairly new to WWII/Korean War Flight Nurse collecting and wanted to get everyone's thoughts on two different wings (one PASQUALE, and One AMICO). I've read through all the previous posts pertaining to this discussion to include outside research, and I'm still not too sure. Any suggestions/comments/concerns will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Tony

They look ok to me. The Pasquale FS and FN had some very nice reproductions made a few years ago. There was some discussion as to them in the past, especially in regards to the use of Pasquale vs Pasquale SF hallmark

I think the real tells between the good ones and later reproductions are rather more subtle than that, but from what I can see, I believe that your FN wings are legit vintage Pasquale wings (BTW, I believe that it was Blackinton that made these wings for Pasquale. There are a few threads about that as well. Cliff P is our resident expert on that.

The AMICO wings also look fine to me. I think the brown enamel "N" is a good sign of WWII vintage.

Thank you for the comments and recommendations. I went and read that thread which I found intriguing. Almost as if the Pasquale wings are a true mystery and besides the obvious fakes, one almost has to judge on there own based on experience.

I was looking at the Amico wings again and the hallmark almost appears engraved vs stamped. Ill need to jewelers loop to verify though. Does anyone know if they engraved hallmarks as well?

There are some good fake Pasquale out there I've seen and you have to pay attention to them.Personally yours don't look good to me but if pics were better would help.Large manufacturers didn't engrave their wings as only a jeweler made piece would be engraved.

Yes I wish the pics could have been better. The system limits to size really affected resolution and I did the best I could. Im going to validate stamped vs engraved on the AMICO wings, as for the Pasquale is there away I can get you crisper photos?
