Pic 1 - 2.jpg Pic 1 - 2.jpg WARNING: some photos depict dead soldiers

I have been rummaging through some of my Grandfather's belongings, a WW1 veteran,  and came upon a set of photos. Obviously professionally done, I am looking for any assistance to help identify what these WWI photos are part of - ie. is this a collector set? There are (11) 4x3 inch cardboard photos of various scenes of the war with description of each photo on the front and nothing on the reverse, probably held onto by my family through the years. Any help in identifying this set, are they part of a bigger set, and if there is any market value towards these photos would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,  Dan

I've seen these many times. Not sure if they are from an officially sanctioned set, but they were likely sold to the troops during or immediately after the war. As these were mass produced, I can't imagine them being worth more than a few bucks a piece. I just did a quick search on cardcow and they are listed in the 10-15 range each.
