nomadr Posted February 21, 2018 Share #1 Posted February 21, 2018 Will be taking the knife to Louisville this week end to sell. I have no Idea on value? Not my area of collecting. Any help would be appreciated. Bob

thorin6 Posted February 21, 2018 Share #4 Posted February 21, 2018 Just my opinion, but $450-$500, maybe a little less as the scabbard seems to be a little loose where the leather meets the metal.
268th C.A. Posted February 21, 2018 Share #5 Posted February 21, 2018 I think that estimate is good, the last four or five I've seen sell in $400-$450. range with the scabbard. Too many get broken by some yahoo pulling the scabbard by the leather scabbard tip and not the metal throat on the scabbard, its 100 years old....good luck with your sale... Elton Posted February 23, 2018 Share #7 Posted February 23, 2018 I have been seeing a scabbard for this knife going for 4 to 5 hundred. A dealer may not give that much but a person walking around would. carry a small sign and tell people you have it. I do it with rifles at gun shows. I think 6 to 7 hundred will be close. nomadr Posted March 1, 2018 Author Share #8 Posted March 1, 2018 Thank you. I did not sell at SOS. Didn't think of the small sign as I was also carrying two rifles LOL. I will be posting here! The scabbard is exceptional and not lose at all! Thanks everyone for your remarks. Bob
Blacksmith Posted March 1, 2018 Share #9 Posted March 1, 2018 $600-$700 is a dream in my opinion. Last one of these I sold, in near mint condition, went for $450. $500 maybe, but $700 is in 1918 range, which bring a good bit more money. In that condition, I'd take the first $450 offer. Just IMO.
