prestoncohunter Posted February 18, 2018 Share #1 Posted February 18, 2018 Sadly the album was stored in his attic for way to long and most of the photo's have some heat damage. These would have all been taken between Aug 45 and Aug 46 but none are dated.

prestoncohunter Posted February 18, 2018 Author Share #4 Posted February 18, 2018 Here is my FIL getting ready to head home. We have the seabag and the suitcase. The heat really did a number on this pic.
Backtheattack Posted February 18, 2018 Share #5 Posted February 18, 2018 Nice pictures with a lot of history. Like the one of the Japanese tank.
prestoncohunter Posted February 18, 2018 Author Share #6 Posted February 18, 2018 Actually we probably have many of the items that was in the seabag, when my son found it in the attic his whites were still rolled and tied, along with his canteen, mess kit, a web belt and his dress uniform complete except the scarf. There are several more pictures I hope to scan soon. Several of churches with damage, a long view shot of a cemetery, a chapel he had worked on, him on a huge stack of pallets, etc.
prestoncohunter Posted February 21, 2018 Author Share #7 Posted February 21, 2018 Found another, not sure if this was in Guam or not. Was WW2 for sure.
prestoncohunter Posted February 23, 2018 Author Share #8 Posted February 23, 2018 Anyone have any ideas of where the last one might have been. If it was taken by my FIL he traveled from San Francisco to Guam. I am assuming he took it, as while his older brother had a camera (according to letters) in Europe we have found no pictures of his. P-40Warhawk Posted February 23, 2018 Share #9 Posted February 23, 2018 I don't know where it was taken, but it's a Liberty ship.
