My father has had a Model 1873 Winchester .44-40 hanging in the basement for years that is only lacking a small handful of parts/pieces (couple springs, tube magazine, etc.) that he has decided to start tinkering with again. I searched online and see that there are very few places that handle these sorts of items and couldn't find any of the ones that he needs to complete the rifle to working condition. Anyone have any ideas on sources for parts for a rifle this old?

Thanks in advance.

Jack First, Numerich, Lee's Gun Parts, Dick Williams Gun Shop to name a few.

Or have him join a SASS forum, I bet the Cowboy shooters could point you in the right direction.

ebay sometimes has stuff like that that have been parted out from incomplete guns, I got a few small parts for an 1873 a few years ago. the good thing about ebay is that you can see the actual part that your getting so that you can match finish and condition on your gun.
