all-bull Posted February 6, 2018 Share #1 Posted February 6, 2018 Hello guys, I recently came across this patch and wondering if I could get some more info on it. It is listed on usmilitarypatches.com as the 562nd Fighter Bomber Sq, but I can find nothing to verify that. Also, how old is it? The machine embroidery at the bottom reminds me of 60s-70s Asian style writing (maybe Vietnam?). Multi-layer wool construction along with the chain stitching. Measures 7" x 4.25". Also, any idea on a value for it? Thanks!!

Randy Posted February 6, 2018 Share #5 Posted February 6, 2018 It is the 562 FBS, when they were stationed at Etain AB, France. This design would have been used between 1953-1957, and is German made. They are hard to find, and yours is in excellent condition, so I would say $350 easy if not more. Randy
firefighter Posted February 8, 2018 Share #6 Posted February 8, 2018 That is one beautiful patch. Man the services had some really great designs from the 40s-70s.
