Retired Army Noncom Posted January 30, 2018 Share #1 Posted January 30, 2018 I'm looking for a pay scale from 1931/32 or someone who would know what the monthly pay would have been for a cavalry 1SG during those years with 30 years service and single, no dependents? Thanks Ed
gomorgan Posted January 30, 2018 Share #2 Posted January 30, 2018 Ed can't help in your time period but have a Dec. 1913 recruiting booklet and it states a 30 year First Sgt. monthly retirement as $67.50 a month for life. I think this includes a $15.75 retired soldiers allowance for quarters, food, clothing and utilities according to the propaganda. Need booklet stamped from recruiting office in Kewanee Il. I'll try to bring it to the March get together for you to look at...George
gwb123 Posted January 30, 2018 Share #3 Posted January 30, 2018 I know the WWII era privately published Officer's Guide had a pay scale for officers. I am not sure if they had them for enlisted as well, or how early they were published.
