My favorite grouping I’ve owned so far.

Harvey Nelson Albright enlisted in the Marine Corps on June 28, 1944 with B Co. 25th Marines 4th MarDiv FMF where he later disembarked from the USS Napa onto the volcanic island, Iwo Jima. On the first day of the landing, Pvt. Albright was shot through the ear warranting his first award of the Purple Heart. Five days later in combat, he was shot through the leg. Albright survived his injuries and continued his service at the end of the war with the 7th MP Bn, most likely on a short occupational duty. After the war, he was transferred to C Co. 3rd Bn 7th Marines 1st MarDiv, where he participated in the 2nd Battle Of Seoul and the Battle of Chosin Reservoir. By this time in the early 50’s, Albright had been promoted to SFC from being a Private during WWII. He was later discharged honorably in July of 1952.

Huge shoutout to Captainofthe7th for helping me with this research!

(Sorry for the messy Vandegrift jacket display, the mannequin is just too large for the jacket, but it’s too nice not to be displayed!)

That's a great set of uniforms, thank you for sharing them here! BTW, that rank is Gunnery Sergeant, or "Gunny", not SFC which is the army equivalent.
