Here are some of my tags with no known history (at least to me). All wwii tags. Their stories are out there. Just gotta find them :(

Hi! Super fun! I blew up the photo as much as I could, and here is some info on one of your tags -

 

Richard John Thomas, Jr.

Born: 20 Dec 1918 - Scranton, Lackawanna Co., PA

Died: 10 Oct 1984 - Memphis, Tennessee

 

Parents: Richard John, Sr. & Harriet Thomas

Brother: George

 

Enlisted: 9 Apr 1942 - Ft George G. Meade, Maryland

 

When he filled out his draft registration card, he was 6' tall, weighed 190, had dark complexion, and brown hair and eyes.

Parents: Herman and Alva (Pearson) Peterson

Enlisted: 20 Oct 1942 - Ft Snelling, Minnesota

Stephen Z. Hagopian

 

Born: 4 Jul 1921 - provenance, Rhode Island

Died: 27 Oct 1976 - provenance, RI

Buried: Swan Point Cemetery, provenance, RI

 

Parents: Harry & Elizabeth Hagopian (Parents were from Armenia, and the father was born in Sonyrna, Asia Minor, Turkey in 1883)

Sister: Louise

 

Enlisted: 1 Feb 1943 - provenance, Rhode Island (3yrs HS, single, 68" tall, 150 lbs)

Released: 19 Jan 1946

 

 

In 1942, he was working as a sign painter in provenance, RI.

 

In 1962, he was a salesman.

Gregory J. McGrath

 

Born: 15 Feb 1911

Died: 30 Jul 1992

 

 

Parents: Thomas and Louise McGrath

Siblings: Mabel, Francis, John, Angie, Ambrose, Helen

 

 

Enlisted: 5 Mar 1942 - Fort Sheridan, Illinois (2 yrs HS, skilled RR brakeman, single, 64", 178lbs)

Released: 11 Sep 1945

 

Before and after WWII, he was a Brakeman on the CB&QRR in La Crosse.
