MG Benjamin A. Poore was my great-great-grandfather from my mother's side of the family. I hope to digitize this record in the near future.

Looks very interesting. By all means you should scan it for posterity. If you post what division/unit he served in, you may get some interest from folks who would like a digital copy and would be happy to send you some $ for this first hand report. It looks like a hand typed original document, likely great unpublished info there.

I agree with Brian. Scan it for posterity and sell copies to those interested. Who did the General serve with during the war?
