RonnieBigR800 Posted January 19, 2018 Share #1 Posted January 19, 2018 Hello gentleman, recently I purchased a General Fibre Co Fixed bail helmet set and it caught my eye that there was an interesting shade of paint. By examining the helmet, I noticed there was black, dark OD and a standard OD green color as well. The only time I've seen these colors together, was on a Guadalcanal veterans helmet. The thing that makes me deny this however, is the fact theres a stamped "3" on the liner. I know this was common by the navy but I'm not sure about the Marines. Hah, yeah it was on eBay for like an hour or two and then I talked the guy down to half the price. All I saw in the pictures was a dark OD color but in the light it almost has a camoflauge pattern.
