Folks, I think I might have showed this in another thread on Graffiti helmets years ago.... Says on it "Mary Solis + Cat(?) Moreli", "Slidell Louisiana", "Carolyn", "S.C. Stump Jumper", and "I'm an involuntary member of a chickenshit organization" and a few other things I can't make out. Swivel bail helmet, ss rimmed front seam helmet, circa mfg. Nov. 43 to Dec. 44. Lot number is "41B" all I can make out...? McChord helmet. Ebay purchase back in 2008 for $31.00 out of San Leandro, CA. Mitchell cover has no date, DSA cover with large printed letters. Can't find a date on the sweatband.

Regards, Chris

Remember this one from way way back, still a great lid I'd love to have. Congrats!

Thanks Justin...... I know you are an old dog here..... I have not been so active in the last ten years here or so... Putting three kids through college and working 12 hour days for years........ Not time, no energy.... Now that I got laid off two months ago I can delve back into my collection and post up some cool stuff.... Weird is that I can't find stuff I think I posted up 10 to 12 years ago here...? I think the search is limited to a certain date.....? But then again I get confused with stuff I posted up in the early 2000's on the MCF board which went away...... Anyway, thanks for remembering this lid. And I still have it. Sold off a ton of helmets over the years, but this one still is with me. Regards, Chris

Great helmet Chris, I remember this helmet well from back in the day. That huge thread with graffiti helmets, yours included really inspired me to delve into Vietnam helmets.
I'm sorry to hear about your situation right now, but I hope it changes for you in the future

Look forward to seeing anything else you post

Thanks Brother...! Much appreciated...! I am glad you remember this one, it is special... I will post more as my days permit... Picked up way more WW1 lids over the last 8 years or so... Way undervalued in my opinion, US, French, and German.... Lots of time now but so many projects around the house...! Will post up some pics on individual lids as my time permits.... God forbid I get a job soon... You won't here from me for another 10 years.... Regards, Chris
