Hey Gang ! Just stumbled on this ad for Greek M1 Bayonet ebay item 122912254957, Buy Now $129.99. Besides the price being a little high, the story behind the bayonet is unreal. You have to read the sales pitch, so scroll down through the ad and read it. It's wild! I do not know the seller, it's the story I find interesting. Talk about embellishment! Check it out, it will brighten your day. LOL! If some one could post this, it would be well appreciated. SKIP

Awesome bloodline fireball WW2 Bayonet. Purchased from USMC Veterans family that fought in Germany in WW2. Heavily Used. AWESOME PIECE. According to the story ....Foxhole taken by US military Personnel Overrun with one of last pushes by German Nazi Army. Taken by surprize and so close....Sargent Schmidt stabbed one german officer then butted another in the face shooting and stabbing German personnel along with members of his platoon until the last remaining german soldier was downed. Many stories were told that night . Not one as amazing as Sargent Schmidt's. Schmidt suffered minor contusions small cuts/ lacerations. But nothing worth reporting ...just that about 50 Nazi, Commie Soldiers had failed to take on of our hills, our strong points....our Victorious occupied lands. SEMPER FI.

Bayonet blade around 12 inches. Authenticity gauranteed. Actual green sheath or scabbord Government Issue. Latch is working and latch fixture for gun seems to be working as well. Very dull but sharp enough to pierce what needs to be. The plastic handle is two pieced with lines going across width of handle.. Single screw connects handle together and can be tightened or loosened. Has working belt latch attached to fully plastic scabbord. It may be WW1 based on not being of belt fabric and EN 5 design. Good Luck in bidding. See pictures...A great Collectible.

Sorry about the title, wanted to say "Gang, You've Got to Read This Ad". But I was in such a hurry, and laughing, I messed up. I love how a Greek M1 bayonet made in the 50s, was used by a Marine in Europe during WW2. Got to love the effort! SKIP

I have no idea what you are talking about this story is 100% legit. Sergeant Schmidt Stabbed all of the enemy Nazi's and all of the members of his platoon!

"50 Nazi, Commie Soldiers" is a contradiction in terms. I don't know who would be more offended... the Nazis or the Commies.

USMC-RECON0321

He then jumped out of the fighting hole and climbed over the pile of dead Commie Germans and fought his way up to the top of Mount Suribachi killing many more Germans and helped raise the flag.

Later that same day he was captured at the DMZ by the Viet Cong and spent the remainder of the war at the Hanoi Hilton.

Let's keep in mind that we want to pass on to the new collectors, "Buy the knife, not the story". I hope the seller was just having a little fun, and not conveying his knowledge of WW2 history. It's a most interesting ad. SKIP
