Proud Kraut Posted January 6, 2018 Share #3 Posted January 6, 2018 Yes, they bring back wonderfull memories! Does anybody know, why one is carrying the rifle on the right and one on the left shoulder? Kind of color guard and if so did more figures belong to this set? Link to comment

I was wondering why their covers are different? Link to comment
manayunkman Posted January 6, 2018 Share #5 Posted January 6, 2018 Yes they are color guard and come in several different sets but usually with 2 flag bearers. What strikes me as odd is the black marine. I can't remember seeing one of them before. Link to comment
Ewart Posted January 11, 2018 Share #6 Posted January 11, 2018 Made by the English Company 'W Britain' for some reason they are quite collectable. I've never seen the appeal myself, but I suppose if you don't like painting 54mm figures these may be for you. manayunkman Posted January 12, 2018 Share #11 Posted January 12, 2018 Britains are fun to collect. At one time I had over 2000 of them but they were pre ww2 ones. I didn't like the paint jobs on the post war ones. There was a small soldier shop in The Hague Netherlands who sold way below the market and I bought him out. In that buy I got a complete collection of Dinky-Meccano military vehicles too. Link to comment
