triplecanopy Posted December 26, 2017 Share #1 Posted December 26, 2017 I just got this gray metal parachute badge in and have absolutely no clue of its origin. It is well made with what appears to be a up thrust military knife or bayonet in the parachute. It has GNA at the bottom in an arc. Does anyone know anything about this badge. Is it US or foreign? Thanks.
triplecanopy Posted December 29, 2017 Author Share #2 Posted December 29, 2017 Thanks to all who viewed. It is a non-US badge, so if you all need to lock this, no problem. It has been identified. For those curious, this badge is the Argentine National Gendarmerie (Argentine Police or Gendarmería Nacional Argentina or GNA) which is the Gendarmerie and Corps of border guards of Argentina. There is also a subdued cloth patch in black and olive drab (No GNA markings) that is similar in design. The information I received indicates GNA is the Gendarmería Nacional Argentina or Special Forces that has been in existence since 1998. Happy New Year!
