Acquired this Navy GCM over the weekend. Beautifully engraved, wrap brooch medal, named to John J Robinson.

First awarded while on the USS Washington (ACR-11), 12 June 1912.

Second award on the USS Minnesota (BB-22), 3 June 1916.

Third award at Naval Station Newport, 3 June 1924.

Unfortunately, I'm not having much luck finding any information on him through Ancestry or Fold-3. Would Golden Arrow or Redbird have luck finding his record with the information provided?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, either Golden Arrow or Redbird could help you. He should have a full file in St Louis The only issue will be there might be more than one guy with that name, so they might have to look at several files to get the right one...but that should not be too difficult.

Thanks, Uncle Grumpy! I typically use Geoff with GA. I imagine he can confirm via ship attachment.
