atb Posted December 8, 2017 Share #2 Posted December 8, 2017 Insignia on the right is a pocket patch for the US Army 145th Aviation Battalion. It is the unit's Distinctive Unit Insignia. It is not WW2 or early post-WW2 since the unit only came into existence in 1963.

atb Posted December 9, 2017 Share #5 Posted December 9, 2017 Thank you very much for the information. I thought a WW2 made patch because of manufacture : no merrowed & flat. Non-merrowed and flat edge SSI's made and issued until around 1968. I was issued non-merrowed edge Eighth US Army SSI in Korea in 1983. When I was stationed at Camp Darby, Italy in 1974, the SETAF SSI's were non-merrowed.
