Hi all,
This patch is currently on eBay and I wanted to get some input as to whether it is authentic or not.Thanks!

Could be that no one knows for sure however, the seller is an upright guy and it appears he is sure of the authenticity. One thing I can assure you is that I haven't got  clue if its good or not. :)

I agree with you about the seller.I don't know much about them either,but would like to learn more.These patches are so seldom seen that I could not find much info online regarding them.I did find another example on eBay,and it looks a bit different,so I was wondering if there are variations of this piece.

 

Here are images from eBay seller the dog tag of the one other example I could find.

The patch that started the thread doesn't look good to me.The detail, edging, thick thread,..

The first one in thread is a fake that was made in Northern California in the late 1980's

I hadn't commented but the little dots on the back made me think of the California Copies.

 

I have a couple of the WW2 ADC patches of similar construction and details.(dots incuded).Was looking to post it.Bob confirmed my thoughts

The auction ended,and the originally posted patch sold for US $77.66.
