jerry_k Posted December 8, 2017 Share #32 Posted December 8, 2017 Love the .38 Special Victory holster he's wearing too. Yes, standard .38 holster for Navy/USMC aviators... Here is one example from my old collection also with Baby Shark knife attached to the shoulder strap.
Stony Posted December 8, 2017 Share #33 Posted December 8, 2017 I like it. I have the holster, but am still looking for the 6 round pouch.
Horseclover Posted December 8, 2017 Share #34 Posted December 8, 2017 Very nice photo of Naval Aviators! another one with EG Waterman knife used by PBJ crew member from VMB-611 Regards, Jerry My dad had one as a black gang electrician (first fireman ranking) on the USS Dayton (CL-105) and I got the impression his EGW was passed out along with an electrician's knife. The shakedown of this new ship was partly practicing gunnery offshore Trinidad and no doubt some survival training. One of his bring backs was topographical maps of Trinidad, so for whatever reason, seems to have spent time ashore there. The ship was later involved with the coastal bombing of Japan. He ended up spending a lot of time just tending a gyroscope. Going by just two patterns I collect, there seems to have been an awful lot of them. Cheers GC
