Stony Posted December 2, 2017 Share #1 Posted December 2, 2017 The person that's been selling the NOS Mk1 Pal 35 knives was nice enough to sell me one of the crates that they came in. As you can see, it's clearly marked with the quantity and contract number. The other side has the Pal Cutlery Co., Holyoke, Mass. Enjoy.
jw517 Posted December 2, 2017 Share #2 Posted December 2, 2017 You don't see those every day. Thanks!

SKIPH Posted December 2, 2017 Share #5 Posted December 2, 2017 I'd like to own crate, and it's content! SKIP
thorin6 Posted December 2, 2017 Share #6 Posted December 2, 2017 Skip, at $100 a knife, that would be $10,000 not counting the cost of the crate (and shipping, of course). How many of your M3 knives would you sell for that?
sundance Posted December 2, 2017 Share #7 Posted December 2, 2017 Neat item. I didn't know Pal was in Holyoke. Beautiful area.
SKIPH Posted December 2, 2017 Share #8 Posted December 2, 2017 Bill-I'd be hard pressed to sell any M3. But, 100 MK1s, ending up at $10,000 would allow me to buy a very nice V42, and a bunch of other knives I'd like in my collection. On the other hand, what a prize, an unopened case of 100 MK1s. Very very cool. SKIP
Stony Posted December 2, 2017 Author Share #9 Posted December 2, 2017 There are still some of the unopened knives for sale if that will give you a taste.

sactroop Posted December 2, 2017 Share #11 Posted December 2, 2017 After 70 plus years you don't always know what your going to find when you open the package. But if someone were to offer one as low as $100 a piece, I'd take the chance again.
SKIPH Posted December 2, 2017 Share #12 Posted December 2, 2017 sactroop- I agree that $100 for a new in wrapper PAL would be a nice fair price. SKIP
Stony Posted December 3, 2017 Author Share #13 Posted December 3, 2017 They are twice + the price you quoted. I opened mine and the knife and sheath were mint. Only some minor surface scratches on the blade and that was probably from me taking it out of the sheath. The blade was still parkerized and grainy.
