mortarman Posted December 1, 2017 Share #1 Posted December 1, 2017 I recently identified several military items that had belonged to a coworkers father but was unable to identify the flying machine in the following photos. There were other photos that appear to have been taken at the same time (early 1960s ?) that seem to indicate the location was probably northern Africa based on the landscape and camels. Can anyone ID the object? Her father served in the Army during WW2 in Europe. In 1951 he joined the Marine Corps and was stationed at Camp Lejeune. According to his service records he tried to re-enlist in 1955 but was denied because of "unauthorized marriage." He then joined the Air Force where he served about 19 years until he was medically discharged in the late 1960's.
