This was in an antique store for a few years. I would visit this shop in Lebec Ca. when ever I was working in the central valley. I assumed it was off a BT-13, but the blue didn't add up. Curiosity got the cat and I bought it. After running the prefix number stamped on the latch (25-31810) I was surprised to find it was from a O-47 A. Only 238 were made, so it's not as common as I thought.

The O-47 with blue colors for coastal and anti submarine patrol.

we had the O-47 at Georgetown Airport during the war for sub duty ...nice find....start of a resto
