Identified Western Shark Knife Blued

Wasn't a bad day today , was able to ferret this one out at a gun show, from what I've found so far is it belonged to a Harry G. Whittick but haven't find anything more yet. Pretty nice blade with a lot of its original blue left on the blade, always liked the Western knives.

Thanks, I've looked all over the net and haven't found any history per sei on what unit he may have been in, in time Regardless this is a great little knife

Well I'm not particularly talented when it comes to research, but there's many on this forum who are. So I figured to post as much as I ran across. Wish I had a nickel for every time I got to a probable name or even a certain name and haven't found the direction to precede forward. Yes a very enviable piece.

His obit, on Newspapers.com states he fought in Germany and was awarded two Bronze Stars. These could be campaign stars rather than the BSM. Family often confuses the two.
