Hey all. A rather notorious OSS and later Mercenary Soldier the late Mitchell Livingston Wer Bell III, used to live about a minute from my home. He also invented the silencer for the MAC-10 in 1967. His widow passed in 2015 and they held a tag sale at the property. Pictured is what was placed up for sale that day. Nothing OSS, but still a few little trinkets. The garrison cap insignia is off the cap, a bit soiled, but real. The CBI patch was once on his uniform. The Bronze Star is slot brooch and Not engraved. His 1950's cartridge box has his initials embossed, and loaded with H&H SuperX 375 MAG shells. I asked the caretakers what animals he hunted with these. He said " Mitch didn't hunt animals"! and he winked!

What cartridge box????? Leather box shown is a BAR spare parts box. Cartridge boxes went out around the turn of the century. Cartridge belts were next. Nice stuff regardless and neat history. To bad no MAC stuff in the estate. Nice sub guns, missunderstood and underated by many.
