Hi all,

I recently picked up a set of P41 utility trousers at a sale and It had this Green tag on it. Can anyone tell me what it specifically represents? I understand that some of the numbers represent the year this particular set of trousers was produced (1944) as well as the waist and inseam (its a size 32 waist). Otherwise Im not sure what the rest of the numbers mean. Is it a laundry tag?

Thanks all!

heres one (of two) 1945 dated M43 field jackets in size 42 I own. They have never been worn.

I have another M43 in a sz 52-54 that's tagged

I also have a M41 that was sent home by a vet still tagged and unworn.

Schnicklfritz

I only know that the left number indicates the date of manufacture and the right number indicates waist size. I would be interested in finding out what the other numbers indicate. I would speculate that at least one of the other numbers is an identifier as to the person who cut the trousers. As far as I know, the tags were added before the uniforms were sewn together.
