Hi all,

I thought it would be nice to have a website to display my collection since i don't yet have a man cave to put it in.

Its still a bit of a work in progress so some items don't have a write up yet as I haven't had time.

It's not live yet but feel free to view it here, click on visitor access and enter the code.

http://freetheoppres...quarespace.com/

Any feedback is welcome.

Cheers

Excellent site.

One sugestion would be to change the color of the black letters in Collection as they are hard for me, at least, to see against the darkness of the beret in the photo.

Thanks gents, O, you only have to enter the code for the test website. Once it's live you won't have to.

Nicely done Ryan. Well photographed and good layout. This is a "high end" collection in my book. Seeing collections like this is always very inspiring. Thank you for sharing.
Keep up the good work.

Best
Martin

Have been adding more items, still a bit more info to go.

Most recent addition is a great direct embroidered jungle jacket with double SF SSI, named to Browning. Initial research points towards Lt Col Robert C Browning, but i'm looking into it further.

Check out more pics here.

Nice update Ryan. Congrats to the Browning shirt. Happy it went to your collection. It didn't go for much, I was stuck Offshore and the Oilrig didn't have a reliable wifi..

Thanks for sharing your collection. Nicely displayed and well photographed. Very inspiring.

Browning's shirt looks good! Did you see that he was on the jury of CPT Kotouc who was involved at Mylai? Kotouc was acquitted of the charges.

There are a few different papers that have similar articles, but this one is from a free site:

https://www.nytimes....apt-kotouc.html

This is an extract from the article. I snipped out the other names to save space. The link that I sent has the complete article.

FORT McPHERSON, Ga., April 16 (AP)—A jury of seven career Army officers was seated today for the trial of Capt. Eugene M. Kotouc on charges of maiming and assaulting Vietcong suspect near the hamlet of Mylai, shortly after the killings of Vietnam civilians in 1968.

Col Madison Wright, the military judge, said testimony in the trial would begin here April 26.

The jurors, two more than the minimum number required for a court‐martial are:

[info snipped]

Maj. Robert C. Browning, 39 of Parma Ohio, a former Green Beret in Vietnam.

Ryan, might I make a suggestion?
The F A R R E L L 1-0 jacket should have it's own display / picture on the collection page. Such a sexy jacket deserves it.

Just a thought.

Best regards
M

Ryan,

Somehow I missed this the first time around.

Excellent photography.  Many people do not realize that taking photos of uniforms is not as straight forward as it seems.

Very nice selection of some very fine representative pieces.  Thank you for sharing these.
