Airborne-Hunter Posted November 6, 2017 Share #1 Posted November 6, 2017 I found the two tone one about a year ago and earlier this summer I ran across the other one. Feel like a light cotton material. Somewhat crude, but somewhat similar in construction to eachother. Kind of remind me of the 11th Airborne Swing Caps. Thought they'd be good to show. vintageproductions Posted November 6, 2017 Share #4 Posted November 6, 2017 Love them. I have always thought they were aviation related and rigger made.
jeremiahcable Posted November 7, 2017 Share #5 Posted November 7, 2017 Those are nice, they remind me of ones that I have seen aviators wearing in period pictures.
pararaftanr2 Posted November 7, 2017 Share #6 Posted November 7, 2017 Great looking caps! I found something similar a couple of years ago with a Navy insignia. I agree with Bob that they are probably aviation related and rigger made. Regards, Paul

dustin Posted November 9, 2017 Share #13 Posted November 9, 2017 No, the guy on the right seems to have possibly the same style hat of the originally posted hats, the bill has that general type form.
dustin Posted November 9, 2017 Share #14 Posted November 9, 2017 As can be observed there were many flavors of covers utlizied by marine aviation squadrons, these images illustrate quite a variety.
jerry_k Posted November 10, 2017 Share #15 Posted November 10, 2017 Nice rigger made caps. The second one looks similar to B-1 in shape! Here is another one wearing by USN Aviator on the right. Regards, Jerry
