The helmet does not have a story that I know so far. When it was purchased it looked to actually be Patt and there also seemed to be confederate flags and an insignia drawn on the liner. Seems to be wartime done too. Im tryin to look through the hundreds of millions of photos that were taken in the pacific to see if anyone can be identified wearing it. Im guessing its early marine corps, probably Guadalcanal campaign since the heat number is like 68B and it contains a Hawley.
