Retired Army Noncom Posted October 28, 2017 Share #1 Posted October 28, 2017 I have done some research and what I've read deems an RIA 1909 dated revolver holster for an M-1909 Colt 45 LC DA are hard to come by. Is this also the beliefs here of those who know? Thanks Ed
GWS Posted October 28, 2017 Share #2 Posted October 28, 2017 While maybe not "rare", a 1909 dated RIA holster in good condition is tough to find. I can only remember seeing a couple or possibly 3 for sale over the last 20 years. I do not know what the current price is for one but suspect it would be $400-up depending on condition of course. My best guess.

Charlie Flick Posted October 28, 2017 Share #6 Posted October 28, 2017 Yes, indeed, the Model of 1909 holster is very scarce in any kind of decent condition. If you found that one on Ebay for a good price you did very well. Regards, Charlie

Colt Model 1909 and Rig.jpg Regards, Charlie Very very nice Charlie, I've been already searching the firearms website looking for an M-1909 45 LC DA. I took the RIA 1902 .38 holster with .38 DA 1901 off my one display and put it on my 1906/7 "Just Back From the PI" display. When I saw this holster and after doing some research, I knew it would fit better on my 1909/10 officer cotton olive tunic display. I have a neighbor who has a M-1909 45 DA but not as well in that shape like yours. Nice ones like yours are somewhat over a $1000.oo+ range, I might get my neighbors for a few hundred. We'll see. robinb Posted October 29, 2017 Share #8 Posted October 29, 2017 I have two. 1910 and 1911 dated. Haven't found a 1909 one yet.
Retired Army Noncom Posted October 30, 2017 Author Share #9 Posted October 30, 2017 Holster arrive this morning and it has to be one of my best acquisitions I've bought. Cleaned it up a bit and the complete belt is back on the M-1909/10 officer tunic.
