Robswashashore Posted October 23, 2017 Share #1 Posted October 23, 2017 CG-17 was the former USN destroyer USS Paulding (DD-22) which was lent to the US Coast Guard to aid in Prohibition enforcement off the New England coast. It was while on this duty that CG-17 was involved in the tragic collision with the USN submarine S-4 near Provincetown, Mass. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
