lakenormanusa Posted October 22, 2017 Share #1 Posted October 22, 2017 I just bought this WWII Air Crew wing because I haven't seen this particular pattern before. It's a 3" unmarked clutch back type. Would this pattern be indicative of a particular maker? Thanks for any feedback!
Steve L Posted October 22, 2017 Share #2 Posted October 22, 2017 Hi; This pattern has been attributed to Norsid. There are examples of this pattern hallmarked with the Norsid name, although if I recall correctly in a different rating. The Norsid name can also be found on a different pattern, similar to the LGB Pelican beaks. Do a "Norsid" search on this forum for some informative threads. Steve. mods sorry for the double post, please feel free to remove this.

pfrost Posted October 22, 2017 Share #4 Posted October 22, 2017 Steve is spot on. That is a NORSID pattern. One of my favorites, to be honest. P
B-17Guy Posted October 23, 2017 Share #5 Posted October 23, 2017 Yes, there are two attributed patterns of Norsid. Here are both, first and second, both have been seen with the Norsid back mark and without. By the way, the Norsid wings with the Yonkers mark, instead of NYC can be considered post war. Supposedly, Norsid moved there in 1949, or so I heard. John
