walika Posted October 18, 2017 Share #1 Posted October 18, 2017 1328th Army Air Force Base Unit | India China Division | Air Transport Command | 10th AAF CBI Assigned to Misamari Air Base, India. 1 Aug 1944-20 Oct 1945 Known as "Gas Haulers", the 1328th Army Air Force Base Unit (India China Division, ATC) flew on Route Able from Misamari Airfield, India transporting supplies over the “Hump”, the Himalayan Mountains.The insignia depicts a bald headed Gremlin-like character riding a winged gasoline barrel, high above the Himalayas. On the back side of this patch is affixed a paper maker's hand-stamped label with the CBI insignia center. Theater-made. Multi-piece leather.
