The Falcon was the lead ship in the attempted rescue of the submarine S-4, which went down off Provincetown, MA in December 1927.

Not too bad considering it started out as a block of wood...

This is a fabulous model! Did you make it, or is it old? Very nice. What is the actual length, just for perspective?

 

I saw on your profile that you do 1:6 action dolls. Have you seen the "Dragon" military 1:6 dolls?

I made it (carved the hull out of a block of basswood) using the original ships plans which I found online. It is about a foot long.

 

I love the Dragon figures. I use them all the time for kit bashes! I just posted the latest one on the forum.
