ww2guymandude Posted October 10, 2017 Share #1 Posted October 10, 2017 Hi guys, bought this airborne command/ETO ike jacket off of ebay the other day and the seller supposedly did some research and found that the laundry number corresponded to a former OSS agent during WW2. The laundry number is L-7886, any help in identifying this veteran would be much appreciated!
Dave Posted October 10, 2017 Share #2 Posted October 10, 2017 Sadly, without more info, it's impossible to know for sure. There are 46 matches for that laundry number on http://wwii-enlistment.com

Allan H. Posted October 10, 2017 Share #5 Posted October 10, 2017 It is VERY unusual to see the Airborne Command SSI on the right shoulder. THe only people that i have ever seen that used that patch as a combat patch were the OSS contingent that advised the CHinese Para-Commandos. THe left shoulder patch on the Ike jacket's left shoulder wouldn't make sense for an OSS member who served in China. Allan
