Hello Gents.

Need help to find sites where I can find out the history of certain names

Have some named M1 helmets or with laundry marks but I´m new on doing some search

Can you help me?20171010_184404.jpg

This one is named to  Colonel F.S Post. Number is  O-237368.

One of the numbers is difficult to read because of the welding spot.

Any help would be welcome!

Regards.

Joan

just do a google search for Army Register 1945.  You can search any year but that's normally a good place to start. It lists  the officers for that year, retired, etc.  depending on what link you access you can search by number or name.. or you can just manually look for the name in the 3 or four sections...active, retired, etc... thats a start...
