stratasfan Posted October 6, 2017 Share #1 Posted October 6, 2017 Hi! Hoping some of the model fans on here can help me out with this query! I was wondering if there was a die-cast model made of an F-4 that was from the 497th Tactical Fighter Squadron (Nite Owls) in Vietnam? This would be a fabulous thing to get for my Uncle, whose bro was KIA in Vietnam and served in the 497th. However, was such a thing made and is it something you can find? I've never looked into diecast models before, so am hoping someone might know! Thanks for any thoughts! Elizabeth

Waltz41 Posted October 16, 2017 Share #4 Posted October 16, 2017 http://hobbymastercollector.com/HA1929.html Best bet is probably going to be watching ebay. It's an older release, and almost all are sold out online by now. I found it at one dealer, Pete's Collectables, but it's going for $225! Original sticker price is around $80 or so. Good luck! stratasfan Posted October 17, 2017 Author Share #5 Posted October 17, 2017 Thanks! I see the price. I guess at this point, the best way would be to really build my own from a model kit. Ah, well . . .maybe one day I'll try that. (Of course, if I try that, it would have to be after I build my model of the USS Dallas from "The Hunt for Red October"! )
