Patchcollector Posted October 2, 2017 Share #1 Posted October 2, 2017 Hi all,I rarely browse the "Buy it Now" auctions on eBay as many are usually overpriced IMO,but recently I came upon this piece and couldn't resist.It is a full sized Naval Amcraft Wing with the "snowflake" back.A few things I like about this Wing are the square "shoulders",straight wings,and detailed,cut out anchor.It seems to have the short feathers rather than the "berries". I found a similar Wing here: http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/19107-naval-and-parachute-wings-questions/ The differences I see between mine and the one I linked to are; the shield on mine is not "snowflaked" on back,in the front my shield seems a bit different,and my wings seem a bit "flatter",(almost a bit downswept?)but the last two items may be optical illusions from the photos I have.I will examine the Wing more closely when I have them in hand.Sellers pics.
