Hey everyone. I came into this unique piece a few weeks ago and I'm elated to have such an early bring back in my collection. I got it as a gift from a friend of mine who bought it from the marine who captured it. From the stock markings it was captured August 22, 1942, 15 days into the battle itself, so it would be a very early captured item. I've searched it over numerous times but sadly I couldn't find a name to whoever captured it so if this post is violating the rules here I'm sorry for that. Anyway hope you guys like it as much as I do

Nice bring back! The intact lotus flower is a bonus. You might ask your friend if he remembers the name of the Marine he bought it from, it would be nice to put a name to it.

Your absolutely right. I didn't check myself before posting. A intact chrysanthemum is an added bonus, most were ground off. Thanks for correcting me doyler!
