bheskett Posted September 23, 2017 Share #1 Posted September 23, 2017 Does anyone have or know of an example or photo of a Model 1918 12 pocket cartridge belt? I know they were never made in large numbers or perhaps not at all. I thought that Bill Phillips article had one pictured but was mistaken. jprostak Posted September 24, 2017 Share #2 Posted September 24, 2017 Bob, In my early days of collecting, probably about 1987, (hold on to your hats) there were both a dismounted M1938 12 pocket and a mounted 11 pocket M1938 belt for sale in the Manion's Auction catalog. They were both minty. I think they went for less than $250 each. Being young, I always though that I would see another to buy. That has never happened. I sold all my Manion's catalogs a number of years ago and never saved the photos of those rare belts. Lots of lessons to be learned. Jon P
robinb Posted September 25, 2017 Share #3 Posted September 25, 2017 I've been aware of them for decades but have yet to actually see one. I was starting to think they were just a myth.
