mikedon Posted September 23, 2017 Share #1 Posted September 23, 2017 I just got a KA-BAR MARK 2 blade marked “KA-BAR” and guard marked “USN-USN” with one “USN” on each side of the guard. It is like the one Frank Trzaska talked about in his August 2006 article in Knife World. I just noticed something very unusual about it. On this KA-BAR USN-USN you can see ALL of the "USN" on the left side of the guard. On my other 6 and every other one I have seen on the forum or in books the "N" in "USN" on the left side of the guard is only partially visible. I think there are three other threads about this variation of KA-BAR USN MARK 2 knife on the forum that I have found. Has anyone ever seen a WWII KA-BAR, (blade marked), USN-USN, (guard marked), MARK 2 knife with a guard stamped like that?
