Early MkII body repainted

Bought this grenade body at antique&flea; looks like a grey body repainted OD and yellow stripe - not sure if military refurb or other. Top hole threaded; bottom hole small and maybe one thread and there is remnants of the lead plug bouncing around inside the body. it had a shiny varnish or gloss applied for some reason which i have dulled. The letter "B" is in the casting.

I cant make it out well, but if that is rust pitting on the bottom section, if so I'd say it's a repaint.. But it does kinda look like a early type 1 mkII body style. Either way it's a great find! Cheers!
