Two first aid sets from estate sale

I picked up the following first aid pouches at an estate sale - a WWI squad leader pouch and an M2 kit. There were a number of boy scout items at sale along with these military ones. Some of the contents look military issue while others may be from civilian use.

I remember the mercuochrome from my BS kit.

I figured some of the items in the kits were probably from boy scout use. I think the insect repellents are wwii period along with foot powder and the tube of ointment. There were some other military items that I got at the sale - musette bag, m1923 cartridge belt, canvas water bucket, canteen and belt and first aid pouch. There was a WWI grenade bag with the added strap for boy scout use but it had pen scribbled over it so i did not pick it up.

I would agree that these were more than likely assembled for sale by the surplus industry after the war.

Nice pick up & you managed to get a bottle of Frazer's solution, the hardest to find and most sought after part of the M2 kit.
